Earth Day

     Earth Day is a name used for two different observances, both held annually during spring in the Northern Hemisphere, and during autumn in the Southern Hemisphere.

These are intended to inspire awareness of and appreciation for the Earth's environment. The United Nations celebrates Earth Day -- which was founded by John McConnell in 1969 -- each year on the March equinox.

In addition, a global observance -- originated by Gaylord Nelson as an environmental teach-in, and since January 1970 also called Earth Day -- is celebrated in many countries (including the US) each year on April 22.

   Here in Philippines also we celebrate Earth Day, in celebration we focus on cleaning our beloved nature, planting trees. Some conserve water and energy. In some nice places like Boracay all guest and people living there clean the coast in line with the celebration.

     We also remember the sad happening before, the Earthquake victims, landslide, floods and other natural tragedy, resulting to damage properties and killed people. Meanly, in celebration of Earth Day 2009 is unity, unity to preserve the nature, unity to rescue the nature back to it's form where God created this. Not only here in Tuboran, Mahayag but also through out the whole world.
